Description
Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread: A festive showstopper that is fun to make and delicious to eat, shaped like a Christmas tree with gooey cheese and garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 12–15 mozzarella cheese cubes (or any melty cheese)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Marinara or pizza sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide pizza dough into 12-15 small balls. Flatten each piece slightly and place a cube of mozzarella in the center. Pinch edges to seal and roll into a ball.
- Arrange the balls in the shape of a Christmas tree on the baking sheet (one at the top, then two, then three, and so on, ending with a trunk at the bottom).
- Mix melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush half of the mixture over the dough balls.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
- Brush with the remaining garlic butter, sprinkle Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley on top.
- Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping and enjoy!
Notes
- Line a baking sheet with parchment for easy cleanup.
- Assemble the tree shape with balls close together so they bake into one cohesive loaf.
- Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated; brush with butter just before baking.
- Leftovers are best reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
