Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in rice, beef broth, frozen vegetables, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes until rice is cooked.
- Mix in milk and half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor
- add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes with the spices. Leftovers reheat well in the microwave or oven.
