Description
Texas Roadhouse Butter Chicken Skillet is a juicy, buttery one-pan dinner with smoky-sweet flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Juice of ½ lemon (optional, for brightness)
- Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and chili powder.
- Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey and lemon juice (if using), then simmer for 1 minute until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the butter sauce over each piece to coat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or chives and serve warm with rice, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Naturally gluten-free and paleo-friendly (uses butter and honey).
- Best served with rice, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
- If you prefer a brighter finish, add the juice of half a lemon just before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
