- 8 ounces egg noodles (uncooked)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles until al dente, drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, add onion and cook until translucent, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; mix well.
- Fold cooked noodles and half the cheddar cheese into the mixture.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13 casserole dish, top with remaining cheese.
- Bake 25‑30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or a dash of hot sauce. Substitute low‑fat sour cream and cheese for a lighter version. Freeze uncooked casserole for up to 2 months
