Description

Smashburger Quesadillas: Crispy, cheesy bites that merge juicy smashed beef with melty cheese in a tortilla for quick, burger-night perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or American cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for grilling)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, diced onions, burger sauce, ketchup, or mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide beef into 4 equal portions. Place a tortilla on the skillet and add a portion of beef on one half.
  3. Using a spatula or burger press, smash the beef thinly into the tortilla. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and seasonings.
  4. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is browned and crisp.
  5. Sprinkle both cheeses over the beef and fold the tortilla in half to cover.
  6. Cook another 1–2 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden and cheese is fully melted.
  7. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  8. Slice into wedges and serve hot with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauces.
