Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ¼ cup diced pickles
  • ¼ cup diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles. Set aside.
  2. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Press each portion evenly onto one side of a tortilla, spreading thin.
  3. Season beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place tortilla beef-side down and press firmly to create a smash effect.
  5. Cook 3–4 minutes until beef is browned and crispy. Flip tortilla and cook 1–2 minutes.
  6. Top beef with a slice of cheddar and cook until melted.
  7. Remove from skillet and add lettuce, diced pickles, tomatoes, and drizzle with sauce.
  8. Fold and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispness, press down firmly while cooking.
  • Warm the tortillas before assembling for softer tacos.
  • Make the sauce a few minutes ahead to save time.
