- 1 tsp chili powder

- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (or rotini)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet or oven-safe pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and bell pepper. Cook until beef is browned and veggies are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Add sauce ingredients: Stir in garlic, tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add pasta: Pour in 2 cups of water and stir in the uncooked macaroni. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Cover again for 2–3 minutes, or transfer to the oven and broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm — a cozy, flavorful twist on classic Sloppy Joes!
