  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thin cutlets. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce slightly reduces.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
  8. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish if desired and serve warm.
