Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring: a show-stopping holiday appetizer featuring turkey, cranberry sauce, and melted Gruyere wrapped in buttery crescent dough.

- 1 (8 oz) tube crescent rolls
- 4 oz chive and onion cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary or thyme, divided
- 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese, divided
- 1 lb thinly sliced turkey
- 1 (14 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ tsp poppy seeds
- ½ tsp granulated garlic
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate crescent rolls and arrange them in a circular pattern on the baking sheet, with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, forming a ring.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp of rosemary or thyme. Spread this mixture evenly over the overlapping section of the crescent dough.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese.
- Arrange turkey slices evenly over the cheese layer, then spread half of the cranberry sauce over the turkey.
- Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of Gruyere cheese and the rest of the rosemary or thyme.
- Fold the pointed ends of the crescent dough over the filling and tuck them underneath the center to form a ring.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, poppy seeds, granulated garlic, and salt. Brush over the dough.
- Bake for 22–24 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serve warm with extra cranberry sauce on the side.
Notes
- Let the ring rest 5–10 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Rosemary or thyme can be used; use the 3 tsp total, divided as directed.
- Serve with extra cranberry sauce on the side.
- Assemble up to the step before baking and refrigerate up to 24 hours; bake just before serving.
- Leftover pieces can be warmed in a low oven if desired.
