Description

One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a cozy weeknight skillet dinner that comes together in one pan.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
  3. Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Add egg noodles and cook according to package directions, stirring occasionally.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese until noodles are creamy and coated.
  9. Garnish if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3–4 days.
  • For a lighter version, use less butter and/or reduce parmesan.
  • Can substitute gluten-free noodles if desired, but note the recipe as written uses egg noodles.
