Description
One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a cozy weeknight skillet dinner that comes together in one pan.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 oz egg noodles
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
- Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add egg noodles and cook according to package directions, stirring occasionally.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until noodles are creamy and coated.
- Garnish if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Leftovers keep well in the fridge for 3–4 days.
- For a lighter version, use less butter and/or reduce parmesan.
- Can substitute gluten-free noodles if desired, but note the recipe as written uses egg noodles.
- Omit parsley for a simple plated dish.
