  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire-style sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and parsley. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake uncovered for 50–55 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the meatloaf bakes, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5–7 minutes until tender.
  6. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Slowly whisk in beef broth and black pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
  8. Remove meatloaf from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Slice meatloaf and spoon warm mushroom gravy over the top before serving.
