Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
- 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Add broccoli during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat a skillet with butter over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth and simmer 1–2 minutes. Add heavy cream and Italian seasoning; simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan until melted and creamy. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Return chicken to the skillet, then add tortellini and broccoli. Toss until well coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy while hot!
Notes
- You can use fresh or frozen tortellini; cooking times may vary slightly.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or milk for part of the heavy cream.
- Swap in chicken thighs for juicier meat if desired.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3–4 days and reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.
