Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3–4 jalapeños, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional but adds smoky flavor)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- Egg roll wrappers (cut into quarters for mini rolls)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, turkey bacon, garlic powder, and salt until smooth and well combined.
- Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each mini egg roll wrapper. Fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing the edges with a dab of water.
- Heat oil in a skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with ranch or chipotle dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can omit turkey bacon to keep the recipe vegetarian.
- Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing.
- For milder heat, remove seeds and membranes from jalapeños; for extra heat, include some seeds.
- Keep oil at 350°F (175°C) for even frying; do not overcrowd the pan.
- Serve with ranch or chipotle dipping sauce for dipping.
