- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
- Maraschino cherries or pastel sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare and bake cake according to package directions in a 9×13-inch pan. Allow to cool completely.
- In a bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
- Fold in whipped topping and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread crushed pineapple evenly over the cooled cake.
- Spread pudding mixture over the pineapple layer.
- Sprinkle coconut on top if using.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Garnish if desired and slice to serve.
