- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup pastel candy-coated chocolates
- Easter sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar together.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour hot toffee mixture evenly over crackers.
- Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
- Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
- Top with pastel candies and sprinkles.
- Chill for 1 hour until set, then break into pieces.
Notes
- Line the pan with parchment for easy removal and clean-up.
- Work quickly when pouring the toffee so it coats the crackers evenly.
- After topping with chocolate, allow it to set by chilling or resting at room temperature.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate to speed setting.
