Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Divide dough into 3–4 portions and tint each with pastel food coloring.
- Gently press small portions of each color together to create a marbled effect without overmixing.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool before serving.
Notes
- For the prettiest pastel marble, avoid overmixing after coloring.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days.
