Crispy Chicken Caesar Sandwich: a bold, tasty, crunchy handheld twist on a Caesar salad.

- 2 chicken breasts, pounded thin
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying or air-frying)
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (use halal version without anchovies)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 10 slices of crusty bread or sandwich rolls
Instructions
- Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy (or air-fry at 400 F for 12 minutes, flipping halfway).
- Toast bread or sandwich rolls until golden.
- In a bowl, toss lettuce with Caesar dressing and Parmesan.
- Assemble sandwiches: layer crispy chicken, dressed lettuce, and extra Parmesan between bread slices.
- Serve warm and enjoy that crunch with every bite!
Notes
- For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs or double-dip.
- Air-frying is a healthier alternative to frying in oil.
- Halal Caesar dressing should be used (no anchovies).
- Leftover assembled sandwiches can be refrigerated for up to 1 day; rewarm before serving.
