Description

Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken: Quick, juicy chicken breasts with a golden Parmesan crust cooked in the air fryer for a restaurant-quality weeknight dinner.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Brush each chicken breast lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  5. Coat the chicken evenly in the Parmesan mixture, pressing lightly so the coating sticks.
  6. Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
  7. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F/74°C).
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with a side of salad, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, substitute breadcrumbs with crushed cornflakes or use a mixture of breadcrumbs and crushed cornflakes.
  • Let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes after air frying to keep the juices in.
  • To ensure even coating, press the parmesan mixture firmly onto the chicken.
