Description
Creepy Halloween Eyeballs: Spooky and delicious treats that look terrifying but taste irresistibly sweet, perfect for Halloween parties or kid-friendly gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut (optional, for texture)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Red gel icing (for veins)
- 20 whole almonds or red candies (for pupils)
- 20 white chocolate truffles, donut holes, or round cake balls (for eyeballs)
- Blue or green candy melts/disc sprinkles (for irises)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, coconut (if using), and vanilla until smooth. Chill 10 minutes.
- Roll mixture into 20 small balls, or use donut holes/truffles as the base.
- Press a blue or green candy melt disc on top to form the iris.
- Place a red candy or almond in the center as the pupil.
- Use red gel icing to draw squiggly “veins” for a creepy effect.
- Chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- Chill the mixture briefly to make rolling easier.
- Use coconut for texture, or omit if you prefer a smooth surface.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2–3 days.
- Prepare the eyeballs up to a day ahead for party prep; keep components separate until assembly if desired.
- If using almond pupils, ensure the almond is clean and dry before placing.
