Description
Creepy Deviled Eggs for Halloween: Spooky, savory, and perfect bite-sized party snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs, hard-boiled
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Paprika (for garnish)
- Black olives (for spider or eyeball designs)
- Optional: green or red food coloring for spooky filling
Instructions
- Peel hard-boiled eggs and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place them in a bowl.
- Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar (or lemon juice), garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- If desired, add a drop or two of green or red food coloring to the yolk mixture for a creepy effect.
- Spoon or pipe filling back into egg whites.
- Garnish with paprika “blood” and create spooky designs—like olive spiders, eyeballs, or monster faces.
- Chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- Chill the filled eggs for best texture before serving.
- Adjust mayo to reach your preferred creaminess; add more if yolk is too dry.
- Use olives to create varied designs (spiders, eyeballs, monster faces).
- Keep leftovers in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 2 days.
