Description
Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a comforting, one-pot weeknight dish that comes together in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add pasta directly to the sauce and cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Heavy cream can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Pasta options: penne, rotini, or fettuccine work well.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days.
- If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of chicken broth to loosen.
