Description

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a comforting, one-pot weeknight dish that comes together in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add pasta directly to the sauce and cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Heavy cream can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Pasta options: penne, rotini, or fettuccine work well.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days.
  • If the sauce thickens too much, add a splash of chicken broth to loosen.
