Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a bold, comforting weeknight dish with a creamy Cajun sauce clinging to tender pasta and juicy chicken.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or linguine)
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  6. Add cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the creamy Cajun sauce.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute light cream or half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Any long pasta shape (penne, fettuccine, or linguine) works well.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less heat.
  • Reserve a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
