Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced potatoes (peeled or unpeeled)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined.
  5. Spread diced potatoes evenly in the baking dish.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture over the potatoes and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
