- 12 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1½ cups broccoli florets
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Steam or boil broccoli for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and chili flakes if using, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Return chicken to the skillet along with cooked pasta and broccoli. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and toss again until everything is glossy and well combined.
- Remove from heat, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- Chili flakes are optional for added heat.
- Parsley garnish adds a fresh pop of color and aroma.
- Can substitute broccoli with broccoli florets of other colors or with sautéed spinach for variety.
