Description

Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Breadsticks: a festive, buttery pull-apart appetizer shaped like a Christmas tree and filled with creamy spinach dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll sheet)
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (for brushing)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or diced pimientos for tree ornaments

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper until creamy and combined.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into two equal rectangles.
  4. Spread the spinach dip mixture evenly over one sheet of dough, then place the second sheet on top.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into the shape of a large Christmas tree (triangle with a trunk).
  6. Cut 1-inch strips along both sides of the tree and gently twist each strip to form branches.
  7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Garnish with extra Parmesan and ornaments (like diced peppers or cherry tomatoes) before serving warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute crescent roll sheet for the pizza dough if desired.
  • Make-ahead tip: assemble and refrigerate up to 2 hours before baking.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in a 350°F oven for a few minutes.
  • Try adding diced peppers as ornaments for extra color.
  • Best served warm for gooey, melty texture.
