Description
Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Cookies: Rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter marbled into beautifully swirled cookies—easy to make and irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Divide dough in half.
- Mix cocoa powder into one half of the dough. Mix peanut butter into the other half.
- Take small pieces of each dough and gently press together, twisting slightly to create a marbled swirl. Roll into tablespoon-sized balls.
- Place on baking sheets and lightly flatten.
- Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if it’s too soft to handle.
- Do not overbake; cookies should be soft in the center.
- For stronger marbling, gently twist the halves together before shaping.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze dough for later use.
