Chicken Street Tacos: Juicy, bold and easy 5-ingredient flavor inspired by street tacos.

- 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 12 small corn tortillas
- ½ cup white onion, finely diced
- ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges
- Optional toppings: sliced avocado, salsa, hot sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Add chicken and toss until well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight for more flavor).
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and lightly charred.
- Remove chicken from heat and let rest for 5 minutes, then chop into small pieces.
- Warm corn tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a flame until soft and lightly toasted.
- Assemble tacos by filling tortillas with chopped chicken.
- Top with diced onion, fresh cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
- Serve immediately with optional toppings on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate longer or overnight.
- Grill pan yields smoky char; you can also cook in a hot skillet.
- Warm tortillas just before assembling to prevent tearing.
