- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire-style sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar (optional for extra cheesiness)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and mushrooms to the skillet and cook 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire-style sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle Swiss cheese evenly over the top, followed by additional cheese if using.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.

- Resting the casserole for a few minutes helps the cheese set for cleaner servings.
