Description

Cajun Steak Tips: A bold, creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun-seasoned steak tips tossed with rigatoni in a rich Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak tips and season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Cook steak tips for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  7. Add cooked rigatoni to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Return steak tips to the skillet and gently stir to combine.
  9. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra heat, leave in the red pepper flakes or increase Cajun seasoning.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • If you prefer a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half for the milk and cream combination.
