Description

Bang Bang Chicken Sliders: Crispy chicken coated in a sweet, spicy Bang Bang sauce tucked into soft slider buns for bold, bite-sized flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces or tenders
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup milk
  • Oil for frying (or air frying)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter version)
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix egg and milk.
  3. Dip chicken pieces into the wet mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden and cooked through (about 4–5 minutes per side). For air fryer: cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice to make Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Toss cooked chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Assemble sliders: layer lettuce, saucy chicken, and pickles on buns. Sprinkle with green onions or sesame seeds for garnish.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • To keep things gluten-free, use gluten-free flour and cornstarch.
  • To make ahead, keep fried chicken and sauce separate and assemble just before serving.
