  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
  6. Stir in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
