- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter until smooth.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
- Stir in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
